All the landscaping at Pondering Creations Farm is done exclusively by Pondering Creations LLC. We have display gardens and stonescapes you can walk through, which are seasonally decorated. A Watergarden you can sit by and enjoy while you feed the fish. There is an island to discover and fairy garden displays to explore, a store, backyard farm, and more! Pondering Creations Farm is always evolving so come check out what we have done and what is underway!
The greenhouse and watergarden, plant and fish troughs attract lots of wildlife. You will see different frog and toad species in various stages, snails, butterflies, bugs, salamanders, turtles, and of course our main attraction fish and plants for purchase!
Don’t forget to stop by the Gift Shop while you are here!
Just as the sign says Treasures! There is something for everyone! It is a mixture of old meets new, with a splash of handmade and up-cycled, and we love anything Made in Connecticut, Nature-inspired, Eco-friendly, Salvaged, or just plain old cool!
Of Course we have everything you need for watergardening, aquatic plants, and fish too!
When visiting please know:
We allow snacks and drinks just remember to pick up after yourself and that we do not currently have any public facilities! Also please be respectful of your surroundings as we also live here, so be aware of our hours of operation. You can always Contact us and we will gladly make an appointment if you can’t make our business hours! Friday-Saturday 10-6 & Sunday 10-5.
Park anywhere in the rock or mulch parking areas as we try to keep the driveway open.
Please watch children closely while here at the farm! The watergarden is a great family attraction but we do not want any children unattended by the pond. It can be dangerous and also we don’t want anything other than fish food getting thrown in! Also little fingers look like snacks and we don’t want anyone getting bit by any of the farm animals!
We used to be dog friendly, but now that the chickens free range we only allow pets to visit when we have pet-friendly events. You can find out more information about all of our events on Facebook.
